Replaced two hydraulic presses with the Sumitomo Demag El-Exis SP 250. Energy consumption dropped 62% for equivalent output — payback period is under 3 years at our production volumes. Shot weight repeatability is ±0.3 g across a 10,000-cycle run, which resolved our dimensional variation issues. Changeover between moulds takes 22 minutes average.
