The Schubert Transmodul Line Machine (TLM) is a modular robotic top-loading packaging system from Gerhard Schubert GmbH, one of the world leaders in robotic pick-and-place and cartoning solutions. The TLM architecture uses standardised F4 robotic modules that can be combined to create custom packaging lines for virtually any product and pack format.
System Architecture
A TLM system consists of F2 (2-axis), F3 (3-axis), and F4 (4-axis) robotic submodules, each with their own integrated control system, communicating via the Schubert Vision system for product detection, orientation, and gripping. Lines can be reconfigured physically and mechanically — changing format requires replacing a submodule rather than rebuilding the line. This modularity reduces format change time to under 30 minutes for most products.
